The Co-operative Education program at TRU provides students with a great way to learn valuable career skills and an opportunity to test-drive the wide variety of career options available to Arts students.

Bachelor of Arts co-op students develop:

  • Analytical abilities
  • Research knowledge
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • A broader perspective on the world and its various cultures
  • An understanding of how humanity thinks, feels and acts
  • An awareness of how the past shapes our present and our future

Students who have participated in the Bachelor of Arts co-op option have found it to be a transformative experience that provides insight into career optinos that they did not think were possible, and helped them to get needed experience in a professional workplace.

Co-op is a three credit elective course - students are able to count one work term towards 3 lower level elective credits.
