TRU Orientation

Thank you to all of you that joined us at TRU Orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017

You will learn about the people, places, supports and resources available on campus. You will meet lots of other students, staff and faculty — some new and some not-so-new — as you explore your university.  Throw in some food and prizes and you've got a fun-filled, jam-packed day to remember.

TRU Orientation is not just for first-year students — it is for all new-to-TRU students. If you are a graduate, mature or transfer student, you are welcome to join.

What to expect at TRU Orientation

When you get to campus on Sept. 5, 2017

  • New-to-TRU students are asked to arrive on campus for 9 a.m. on the Campus Commons (front side of the Campus Activity Center).
  • Grab a FREE T-shirt from the T-shirt booth outside the International building and put it on.
  • Look for balloons in your faculty/school colour and head over to that balloon structure. Your group leader should be standing by that balloon waiting to meet you.
  • If you do not know your group leader number, visit the Welcome Booth and they can help you.

Students are asked to park in TRU parking lots. If you haven't ordered your parking pass from Parking Services it may be a good idea. Otherwise parking for the day is $5 and can be purchased at kiosks in each parking lot.

TRU Orientation will happen rain or shine! Please dress appropriately.
