Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas

nfThe Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas offered by the School of Business and Economics focus on specialized subjects within the business field. Through concentrating on a specialization, the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma program offers students a valuable purposeful education leading to a deep understanding of the particular subject under study.

This program format is of great value to students who want to add a specialization to a SoBE Master of Business Administration degree. Through combining the two qualifications in theTRU Enhanced MBA program, students who graduate leave with both an advanced understanding of general management principles, plus a concentrated knowledge of a specific discipline within the field of business. This is of signficant value as it better prepares students for pursuing a professional designation upon graduation.

The program may also be of interest to students who have a non-business degree, and who want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business in order to enhance their employment opportunities. Students with a first degree in Business, but who want to change their area of focus, may also complete a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma. Again, this is of great value to students who wish to pursue a professional designation upon graduation.

The Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas are valuable to International students who wish to come to Canada to learn English, gain exposure to the culture, and study in a compressed format.  Many who do so have already studied business in their own country and have received exemptions that reduce the length of the program.

Part-time study is welcomed.
