Degree Programs

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

The four-year Bachelor of Business Administration program gives students a strong foundation in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences as well as in the key subjects of accounting, economics, computing, statistics, and organization behaviour. In Years 3 and 4, study is focused on key management areas. Students also acquire a specialization in a functional area of business, including Accounting, New Venture Creation, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Marketing and Information Technology.

Case studies, class presentations, guest speakers, field trips, company reports, simulations, and business competitions are all used extensively to enhance learning. Students also benefit from the perspectives of classmates from around the world. More....

Bachelor of Arts (Economics)

The Economics Department operates within both the Arts and the Business School, offering Majors and Minors in Economics programs (B.A. and B.B.A.). The department is composed of a dynamic group of people and has set a number of new initiatives/goals/plans.  The Department also offers introductory as well as specialized courses to a variety of programs at TRU. Double Degree in Computing Science (BCS) and Business Administration (BBA)

A double degree in computing and business provides graduates with a strong platform from which to launch a successful career.  Whether it is working as a web applications manager at a major marketing company, an information systems consultant at a major accounting firm, or the CEO of a new software start up, BCS/BBA students will posses the combined management skills and computing “know how” needed to be successful in an increasingly high-tech business environment. Cooperative Education and Study Abroad Opportunities

Students are able to gain work experience in their field while they are completing their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree through the Cooperative Education Option. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the TRU Study Abroad program (www.truworld.ca/exchange.html) or in Field Schools in other countries.
