TRU Pre-MBA
Program Objective
The TRU Pre-MBA prepares domestic and International students to apply for admission to TRU MBA. The program will consist of the completion of 12 TRU MBA Qualifying Courses. Some applicants may have transfer credit assessed for some or all of the qualifying courses.

Applicants must possess:
- an acceptable 3 or 4-year undergraduate degree in any discipline from an approved educational institution;
- TOEFL score of 570 (paper-based test) or 230 (computer-based test) in the last five years for International students who did not complete their undergraduate degree in an English speaking country - a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS or 70 on the CAEL are also acceptable as is complete of the TRU ESAL Level V.

TRU MBA Qualifying Courses
Applicants must have completed 12 TRU MBA Qualifying Courses with a minimum B- (GPA of 2.67 on a scale of 4.0) in each course to be considered for admission to the TRU MBA. These courses provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the TRU MBA. The courses include:

Equivalent courses taken at TRU or other approved educational institutions may be substituted. To receive an exemption, applicants must submit an official university transcript and a course outline (not just a course description) to TRU for review unless a pre-approved equivalency has been established. If outlines are not provided, the earned grade is too low, or if TRU does not approve of the course, the student will be required to take the course.
TRU Open Learning has equivalent courses for each of the 12 TRU MBA Qualifying Courses; these are available in a distance education format.
Students sho complete all 12 Pre-MBA courses can apply for the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Business Administration.
ESL Training
TRU offers an English as a Second Language (ESAL) program with five levels of training. Each level usually takes one semester (three semesters per academic year) and students will be placed at the appropriate level based on their TOEFL/IELTS/CAEL scores at the time of admission. Students without an official score on the language placement tests can still be admitted to the Pre-MBA but must write the TRU English assessment examination on arrival. Upon completion of ESAL level V, students can register in academic English; a requirement for admission to the MBA.
Up to four TRU MBA Qualifying Courses can be taken during ESAL Level 4 and 5 subject to specific course prerequisites.
Laddering Opportunities
Students in the Pre-MBA who are not admitted into the TRU MBA may transfer to one of the institution's Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas in Business Studies.
