About the Department of Economics

Mission Statements

The purpose of the Department of Economics is to provide a quality economics education. More specifically the department's:

• Economics Major, Minor, and Concentration within the Bachelors of Arts strive to provide a high quality undergraduate economics education within a liberal arts tradition.
• Economics and Political Studies Major, within the Bachelors of Arts strive to provide a high quality undergraduate economics education within a liberal arts tradition.
• Economics Major, within the Bachelors of Business Administration strive to provide a high quality undergraduate economics education with a strong focus on business.
• Business and Regulatory Policy Concentration within the Bachelors of Business Administration strive to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and analyze the regulatory process and the reaction of business to the regulatory environment.
• Business Economics Concentration within the Bachelors of Business Administration strives to provide students with the knowledge and techniques necessary to understand how economics interacts and aids in business decision making.
