Norm Lamb

Norm graduated from Norkam Senior Secondary in June of 1970. Following graduation, he attended Cariboo College for two years. He then took one year off from his studies. During this time, Norm was hired on a temporary basis for four months in the college athletic department prior to leaving for Europe. Norm Lamb returned from Europe in the 1973-74 season to assume the position of business manager with the Chiefs hockey team. Although this would be his second year as business manager, he has been involved to some extent with the Chiefs since their inception in 1970. He played a key role in the organization of the 1973 B.C. Festival of Winter Sports College Hockey Tournament hosted by Cariboo College in January. He graduated from SFU and worked for Pacific Press as circulation manager. Norm Lamb passed away at the young age of 34.

Norm was known for his hard work and his eagerness to volunteer to help out the athletic program. The Norm Lamb Memorial was raised by hockey alumni and the Sports Task Force to reward a special volunteer(s) each year who goes above the call of duty and donates their time to help the TRU athletic department.
