For immediate release: November 25, 2008

Kamloops-Two members of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack  Women’s Basketball team are the top free throw shooters in the Canada West.
Fifth year guard Sarah Cameron (Langley, BC) and first year forward Tracy Kocs (Port Moody, BC)  are tied for first in the Canada West.
Cameron and Kocs  have both made 20 of her 22 attempts in the WolfPack’s 10 regular season games thus far.  That works out to a percentage of .909.
“It’s a team focus and all of our girls have embrased it,”  says Wolfpack Head Coach Scott Reeves  “Most people concentrate on the last foul shot they made. But what’s more important is that you should make 80 per cent of them.”

For Cameron, shooting free throws and getting into a routine is something that she’s done for the last 11 years.
“I always work on it, “says the WolfPack co-captain. “I rotate between foul shots and ball control.  I’ve had my specific routine down since grade nine.”
Cameron admits that winning or losing a game is often determined by foul shots.  As for her routine: “I’ll dribble the ball a couple of times and focus in on the rim.”

Cameron, Kocs and the rest of the WolfPack are gearing up to head to SFU to play the number one team in the CIS, the Clan on Friday and Saturday night (Nov 27-28)
