WOLFPACK WOMEN LOSE HOME OPENER IN WVB ACTION

Kamloops BC: Home wasn't so sweet for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Women's Volleyball team.  The WolfPack lost their home opener in Canada West Womens Volleyball Action. They fell 3-0 at the Tournament Capital Center to the UBC Thunderbirds.

The scores were 25-23,25-17,25-14.  The WolfPack now fall to 1 and 4 on the season.

Liz Cordonnier led the way for UBC with 13 kills in 29 attempts. She also had nine digs. Claire Hanna and Shanice Marcelle had nine digs as well for UBC.  Marisa Field and Danielle Peterson had four block assists for UBC.

For TRU; 5 th year Richelle Walton (outside hitter, Langley, BC) had nine kills. Amanda Frayne (2nd year, outside hitter, Kamloops, BC) had eight kills. Stine Christainsen (2nd year, setter, Ribe, Denmark) had 17 assists.

Some 300 people were in attendance for the match. The two teams meet again Saturday (Nov 8) at 5 pm.
