WOLFPACK LOSING STREAK AT 4 AFTER FALLING TO UBC

Kamloops--They say that close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.  That is something the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Womens Soccer team is finding out quickly this Canada West season.  The WolfPack dropped their fourth straight match, falling 3-0 to the defending CIS champion UBC Thunderbirds.  The scores were 25-16,25-20,25-11.

The T-Birds were led by Kyle Richey who had 13 kills.  Danielle Peterson chipped in with 11 kills.  Katie Tyzuk had 33 assists while Claire Hanna chippd in with 18 digs.

The WolfPack welcomed one of their new players into the lineup.  2nd year middle Anna Dyakiewicz (Burnaby, BC) was playing her first match since sitting out her NCAA eligibility requirements.  She had five kills

Kelly Asleson (2nd year, right side, Richmond, BC) had 4 kills.  Second year setter Stine Christainsen (Ribe, Denmark) had 17 assists while fifth year outside hitter Laura Plouffe (Langley, BC) had 8 digs.

The WolfPack fall to 1 and 5 on the season and host the University of Alberta Pandas next weekend (Nov 14-15)
