Kamloops-Millions of Canadians took time out today (Saturday) to mark Family Literacy Day. Two members of the Thompson Rivers University Women’s Soccer Team and Sports Information Officer Larry Read were among them.

Natasha Little and Heather Lloyd of the WolfPack Soccer team and Read were among some of the guest readers at ABC Family Literacy Day events at the Henry Grube Center.  The three were joined by the likes of Mayor Peter Milobar and  CFJC TV anchor Bill O’Donovan reading to children. The three members of the WolfPack family read Dr. Seuss books.

“I’ve always loved reading,” said Little “ and it was such a thrill to be able to spend some time with these little children.”
“I’ve never really dealt that much with children,” stated Llloyd  “But its great to represent our team and make people more aware of how much we care about the community.”

Hundreds of children and parents attended the Family Literacy Day events in Kamloops.
