Lethbridge, Alta--A second place finish in the Chris Reitsma Division has resulted in six members of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack being named to the Canadian College Baseball Conference All-star teams. The 'Pack had five players named to the first team and one to the second team.

For the second year in a row, shortstop Kyle Dhanani (Blaine, Wash) was named to the CCBC First All-star squad. Dhanani led the pack with 23 stolen bases and tied for the team lead in homers with three. He was third in batting average at .333.

Infielder/Pitcher Greg Cros (Montpellier, France) continued the family tradition by being named to the First team. Last season, it was his brother Anthony getting the nod at outfield. Cros gets an infield position for batting 25 signles and a team best batting average of .360.

Yoshi Nakamura (catcher/outfielder, Yokohama, Japan) was rewarded for providing a solid middle line up bat for TRU. He was chosen as the first team DH with 19 RBI, 3 homers and an average of .357.

The WolfPack's tradition of all-star outfielders continued. Scott Nevison (North Vancouver, BC) was named the 'dream team's' centerfielder. Nevison had 21 stolen bases and hit .330. This was Nevison's second straight All-Star selection after being named to the First Team Infield in 2008.

The other WolfPack player on the first team was pitcher Jordan Broatch (RHP, White Rock, BC). Broatch went 9 and 2 this spring with a team high 5 complete games. He struck out 39 batters and had an earned run average of 1.73.

The CCBC Second All-star Team had only one TRU player on it. First year pitcher Danny Moore (RHP, Victoria, BC) was rewarded for his 7-2 record with a selection. He had 38 strikeouts and an E.R.A. of 3.79.

The All-Star selections were announced at the CCBC barbique in Lethbridge. The CCBC final league season kicks off Thursday (May 14). TRU plays Okanagan College in their first game of the four team round robin. That'll be followed by the 'Pack meeting up with defending league champion Prairie Baseball Academy.
