WOLFPACK STILL  8 TH IN  CIS MVB RANKINGS

For Immediate Release:  November  18,2008

Kamloops—Despite losing twice last weekend (Nov 14-15), the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Men’s volleyball team remains in the CIS top 10 rankings.

Pat Hennelly’s team remains 8 th for the second straight week.   TRU saw its record fall to 3 and 3 following two defeats to the Nation’s number one team, the University of Alberta Golden Bears.

There is no change among the top four teams in the CIS top 10.  Alberta is first followed by McMaster , Laval and Calgary.
Dalhousie of the AUS has moved from 6 th to fifth spot.   Trinity Western Spartans have moved from 9 th to sixth, followed by Brandon, TRU and now Winnipeg.  The Wesmen, who play host to the WolfPack this coming weekend (Nov 21-22) fell from fifth spot last week.  UBC is the other Canada West squad in the top 10 rankings, sitting at that tenth position for a second straight week.

Next home game for the WolfPack is November 27 and 28 th when the University of Sasktachewan Huskies pay a visit to the Tournament Capital Center.
