Edmonton, Alberta--For the second year in a row, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Men's volleyball team will be playing for the bronze medal at the Canada West Championships.  The WolfPack lost in the Canada West Semi finals tonite (Feb 20) to the Brandon University Bobcats in four games.  The scores were 35-33,30-35,13-25,25-19.

"We gave up a big lead in the first set," said WolfPack head coach Pat Hennelly "It was an epic comeback by us. But we let down in the second set as we came out serving flat. Unlike against Trinity Western, Brandon never let up on us."

"We had more mistakes on our side," Hennelly continued. "Whether Brandon wanted to erase their earlier defeats to us (TRU had swept Brandon in the regular season and in last years Canada West Quarterfinals), they just played better."

Brandon was led by Canada West First Team All star Paul Sanderson who had 20 kills.  Gord Perrin (2nd year, outside hitter, Creston, BC) had  22 kills for TRU.  Collin Jaggard (4th year, setter, Calgary, Alberta) had 42 assists.

Joel Small had 12 kills on 27 attempts for Brandon. Andrew Korol had 49 assists.  Brandon out blocked TRU 16.5 to 4.
