WOLFPACK DROP EXHIBITION DECISION TO WASHINGTON STATE COLLEGE

Walla Walla, Washington- "We hadn't played for a month and it showed." The words of Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Men's Basketball head coach Thom Gillespie after his team dropped a 110-68 decision to the Whitman College Missionaries in exhibition action.
The WolfPack were playing without 4 th year forward Jeff Friesen (Duncan, BC) who didn't make the trip. Two of the teams other veterans: Drew Bleth (4 th year guard, Ridgefield, Wash) and Matt Pierce (2nd year, Winnipeg, Manitoba) were out with the flu.
Charles Barton (1st year, forward, Vernon, BC) led the way with 17 points. Greg Stewart (3 rd year, forward, Kamloops, BC) had 16 points.
The WolfPack wind up their two game exhibition series to Washington State with a game Monday afternoon (3 pm, Dec 29) against the Columbia Basin Hawks in Pasco Washington.
