WOLFPACK WIN FIRST OF TWO WITH BIG BEND COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Moses Lake Washington—The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Baseball team has inched closer to the 500 mark in their pre season record. The WolfPack won the first half of an exhibition double header with the Big Bend Community College Vikings (Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges). The score was 4-1.
The victory gives TRU an exhibition record of 6 and 7.
Starting pitcher Brian Mahon (Fruitvale, BC) was the winner going four innings of the seven inning affair. Jordan Broatch (rhp, White Rock, BC) came on to pitch the final three innings.
TRU Was led offensively by Yoshi Nakamura (outfield/catcher, Yokohama, Japan). He continued his solid spring training campaign by going 1 for 2 with a triple. Nakamura also had two runs scored, two RBI and had a walk. Ben Bradford (catcher/outfield, Kamloops, BC) was 2 for 3 with a run scored.
The two teams are on the field right now (3 pm Mar 18) in the nightcap. TRU has had all its regular season games slated for this weekend cancelled due to poor field conditions. They are now scheduled to open the Canadian College Baseball Conference Season Saturday March 28 th at home to the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs of Lethbridge Alberta.
