WOLFPACK BASEBALL SWEEPS FOUR GAME SERIES WITH U OF C

Kamloops, BC--It was a perfect weekend for baseball in Kamloops. Great weather and for fans of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack, results that put smiles on their faces. The WolfPack swept all four games they played in the Canadian College Baseball Conference this weekend. They downed the University of Calgary Dinos in their four game series finale at Norbrock Stadium on Sunday (April 5). The score was 6-0.
Ray Chadwick's crew broke open a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning by scoring five additional runs.
Mike Tomlinson (RHP/OF Campbell River, BC) and Scott Nevison (Utilityman North Vancouver, BC) were instrumental in all of the WolfPack victories this weekend. This game was no different. Tomlinson was the winning pitcher. He tossed five innings giving up four hits, two walks and struck out six.
Nevison was a force at the plate. In this game, hew as 2 for 3 with a run scored, a double and an RBI. Adam Halland (infielder, Kamloops, BC) was 2 for 2 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI. Rookie outfielder Jimmy Semaschuk (Whitehorse, YT) was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.
The weekend sweep ups the WolfPack league record to 5 and 3. They tangle with the Okanagan College Cubs in their next game Wednesday (April 8) at Norbrock Stadium before going on the road for the first time in the spring campaign. They visit the Vancouver Island University Mariners April 11-12 th in Nanaimo.
