WOLFPACK SPLIT WITH U OF ARIZONA SUN DEVILS

Tuscon, Arizona: The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack remain .500 in their Spring Training in Arizona. The WolfPack are now 2 and 2 after splitting a doubleheader yesterday (Feb 17) against the host University of Arizona Sun Devils Junior Varsity team.
In the opener, TRU won 4-3. Pat Brown (Trail, BC), who is normally one of the WolfPack Coaches was the winning pitcher. He tossed a complete game, giving up six hits, three runs (2 of them earned) and had six strike outs.
Ben Bradford (Catcher/Outfielder, Kamloops, BC) was 1-3 with a triple and 2 RBI.
In the night cap, the Sun Devils came back to take TRU 7-4. Tyler Lowey (Infielder/righthanded pitcher, Toronto, Ont) was the losing pitcher. He went 2 and a third innings. Lowey surrendered 6 of the seven runs (5 earned) while giving up six hits and striking out two. He also walked a batter.
Lowey was on in relief of starter Danny Moore (Right handed pitcher, Victoria, BC). Moore went three innings. He gave up three hits, a run and walked two.
The top TRU players at the plate were Yoshi Nakamura (outfielder/catcher,Yokohama, Japan) He was 2 for 3 with a run scored. Rob Morrison (1st base, Calgary, Alta) was 2 for 5. Matt Prosper (outfielder, Ottawa, Ont) was 2 for 5 with a stolen base.
The WolfPack are now 2 and 2. They play Yavapai Junior College in Prescott Arizona today in a twinbill (starting at noon). Yavapai is one of the top Junior Colleges in the U.S.
