WOLFPACK FIFTH AT BC CAA BADMINTON TOURNAMENT AT LANGARA/CAPILANO

Kamloops BC--A tough weekend for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Badminton team.  Brad Pape's crew finished fifth at a BC College Athletics Association event held by Capilano University and Langara College.

The WolfPack had 64 total points. Douglas College won the event with 193 points.
After two BC CAA tournaments, The WolfPack sit in a tie for fourth place with 348 points. Douglas leads with749 points. Kwantlen is second with 558 points followed by Vancouver Island University with 454.

Individually, the womens duo of Merlee Mertens (2nd year, Salmon Arm, BC) and Ming Wong (3rd year, Kamloops, BC) won the "B" flight.   Kia Lidster (1st year, Kamloops, BC) and partner Rebecca Fusson (3rd year, Crawford Bay, BC) were first in the "C" flight.

other results were Garrett Babichuk (2nd year, Kelowna, BC) fourth in the "A" flight mens singles. Noah Woods (2nd year, Kamloops, BC) was second in the "C" flight.

Babichuk and partner Denis Chernoff (1st year, Calgary, Alta) were 2nd in the "B" flight mens doubles.  Alex Perkin and Noah Woods (both 2nd year, Kamloops BC)  were fourth in the same flight.

In mixed doubles:  Brennan Arduini (3rd year, Kamloops, BC)  and partner Ming Wong (3rd year, Kamloops, BC) were 2nd in the "B" flight.  Chernoff and Whitney McKenny (3rd year, Port Alberni, BC) were third in the same flight.
