He followed that up with a selection to Canada’s Junior National team where he was instrumental in Canada winning a qualifying berth to this year’s 2009 World Championships. The 6’6” Perrin was named as the top hitter at the NORCECA tournament in El Salvador.
“It is great for our program to have Gord nominated for such a prestigious award,” stated Hennelly . “It will help bring out program some publicity and help keep TRU Athletics in the limelight. I am happy that Gord has been recognized as one of the top players in the country.”
Perrin and Dick aren’t the only nominees with ties to Kamloops at tomorrow night’s (Mar 24) ceremony in Richmond BC.
