The Interior Wendy 's Restaurant Chain has always been a great community citizen and now they've taken another step in reinforcing their image. Wendys has announced that they will be displaying seven pictures of Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Athletics at their restaurants in the Kamloops area.

"Our relationship with sports has been a cornerstone of our franchises, " states Akbal Mund, Co-owner of Interior Wendy's Restaurants  "Its our pleasure to be able to display pictures of these fine athletes."

The pictures, which include the CIS Bronze Medal Winning WolfPack Mens Volleyball team in action against Laval,  the BC College Athletic Association Gold Medal winning WolfPack Mens Soccer team displaying their championship banner and medals,  and Canadian College Athletic Association player of the month: Badminton's Garrett Babichuk will go up for display in Wendys Restaurants this weekend. (April 19-20)

"We were honored when Akbal and Wendy's approached us about profiling our teams," says TRU Athletic Director Ken Olynyk. "As we move to get our athletes and coaches out in the community, one of the first events they went to was Wendy's Dreamlift (last January). It was one of the highlights of the year for them and many of our teams (both Volleyball clubs and Womens Basketball) have made the commitment to be a part of it next year."

These pictures will be prominently displayed along with teams Wendys sponsors in the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association.
Wendy's work with the Sunshine Dream Foundation is unfounded.  Their "Dreamlift" Campaign every January raises thousands of dollars towards helping send children with life threatening illnesses or severe physical problems to Disneyland.

"We hope that this is just the start of great relationship between our Athletic Program and this great community citizen." added Olynyk.

Some of these pictures will be hung at the newly renovated Wendy's Restaurant in Valleyview. It opens Monday April 21 st.
