Thompson Rivers University WolfPack outside hitter Gord Perrin was named best blocker at the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Conference  Continental Junior Mens Championships.  Perrin (2nd year, Creston BC)  had 12 points in the events final.  

It was a final where Cuba took Canada 3-1.  The scores were 25-18,20-25,25-21,29-27. Both countries had earlier qualified for next year 's World Junior Championships to be held in Mexico after entering the final with perfect 4 and 0 records in the El Salvador tournament.

Canada was led by left side Jason DeRocco (Winnipeg Man). He had 14 points.  DeRocco will attend the University of Alberta this fall.  

Besides Perrin, one other Canadian was a major award winner.  The University of Calgary's Ciaran McGovern (Grand Prairie, Alta) was the Best Setter.
