The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack have had seven players named to the Canadian College Baseball League Allstar team. Announced today at the CCBC League final playoff in Lethbridge, Four WolfPack players were named to the first allstar team. Three more were chosen for the second allstar team.

Second year shortstop Kyle Dhanani (Blaine Wash) and infielder Scott Nevison (2nd year, North Vancouver BC) were first team selections in the infield. Dhanani had 37 singles, 12 doubles and a homer in the spring season with an E.R.A. of .353. Nevison hit .313 and had 13 stolen bases.

Also named to the first team were Outfielder Anthony Cros (4 th year, Montpellier France). He hit .425 with three triples, and 41 singles. He had 24 stolen bases. Pitcher Nic Miskin (1st year, RHP, North Vancouver BC) was 5 and 3 with an E.R.A. of 3.72.

The three players from the WolfPack named to the Second team were first baseman Dillon Morgan (2nd year, Camp Verde, Ariz), Outfielder Alex Ponich (4 th year, Penticton BC) and pitcher Lee Ingram (4 th year, Penticton BC). Morgan had 20 RBI, hit 4 doubles and had 2 triples. He hit .347. Ponich had 44 singles, 37 stolen bases, 5 doubles, had three home runs and hit .376. Ingram, the ‘Pack’s major stopper had 10 saves in the spring. He had a 6 and 1 record with an E.R.A. of 3.23.


While TRU had seven players named to the allstar teams, the Prairie Baseball Academy and Malispina had six players each honoured. The University of Calgary had two players chosen with Kwantlen one player selected.
