About WolfPack athletics

Thompson Rivers University pursues excellence in all aspects of campus life. In addition to exceptional educational standards, students are exposed to numerous community, leadership and athletic experiences. TRU currently has over 200 student athletes competing on eight teams in USports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming and cross-country. Additionally, TRU lends support to the varsity club programs of men’s baseball as well as the TRU Cheer Team. Being a competitive student athlete, while attending classes to earn a university degree is challenging. Student athletes are required to maintain a rigorous practice and game schedule that includes significant travel all while maintaining a full time course load. Student athletes depend on scholarship and bursary funding to help offset the cost of tuition and books, as they have little or no time for part-time jobs. The WolfPack sports teams play an important role in creating campus spirit and promoting health and wellness. A strong athletic program enhances the experience of all students attending TRU. Awards ensure TRU is accessible to all qualified students that want to pursue their passions. You are helping students complete their education and realize their dreams.

Who attends

TRU Athletics’ signature fundraising event brings alumni, coaches, friends, supporters, community leaders, local business owners and university staff together.

Tables at the event are for 10 people. The cost of a table is $2,000 or you may purchase a breakfast ticket for $150 per individual. Purchasing a table of 10 gives a number of additional benefits over the single price of a ticket. TRU will support with a matching grant up to $100,000. All proceeds go to support our student athletes at TRU.
