ACTORS WORKSHOP THEATRE 2011/2012 SEASON

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
OCT 26-29, NOV 2-5
BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
DIRECTED BY HEIDI VERWEY

The course of true love never did run smooth...
Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a timeless tale of love, dreams and identity – with a dab of supernatural magic for good measure. Come join Puck, Bottom, the Lovers and the fairies in the surreal high school of the near future. Lord, what fools these mortals be!

CHRISTMAS UNWRAPPED
DEC 8-10, 15-17
COLLECTIVE CREATION
DIRECTED BY ROBIN NICHOL

A group of student and alumni actors will work together to create this piece. The centre will be a series of true personal stories about the season written and performed by the actors but, until rehearsals begin, the rest of the show remains a mystery! Come see this world premiere and get an unusual take on the holiday season.

DEATH OF A SALESMAN
MARCH 1-3, 8-10
BY ARTHUR MILLER
DIRECTED BY JIM HOFFMAN

This great classic of modern American theatre asks us to consider Willy Loman as a figure of significance, perhaps even nobility: “A small man can be just as exhausted as a great man….”
