APA Workshops at TRU
Four APA workshops were offered in February 2006 for Psychology students wanting to improve their skills. The first workshop focussed on survival strategies for Psychology students (i.e. research and study tips, on-campus resources, and volunteer resources). The second workshop covered APA style references, citations, and quotations, while the third workshop covered the parts of a theoretical or review psychology paper. The fourth, and final, workshop detailed how to properly write empirical papers.
These workshops were offered free of cost and the overall response from students who attended was extremely positive. The TRU Psychology Department hopes to offer these workshops on a continual basis to aid students in writing better psychology papers. If you are interested in attending one of these workshops or would like more information on these workshops, please phone the TRU Psychology Lab Demonstrator at (250) 828-5172.
