Minor program in history

Students can complete a Minor in History in combination with a Major from another discipline in Arts. For a Minor, a student must include with the 120 credits required for the BA degree, 12 credits of 1000 and 2000 level History, and an additional 18 credits in 3000 and 4000 level History courses.

Double major program

It is possible for a student to combine a Major in History with another discipline to complete a double Major. However, students should be aware that this option requires careful course planning and will normally involve taking additional courses in order to complete all of the basic BA requirements as well as the specific Major requirements for two subjects. To graduate with a Double Major, a student must include in the 120 credits required for the degree at least 42 credits in each of two disciplines. At least 30 credits in each discipline must be in courses numbered 3000 or above.
