Study Abroad Opportunities
TRU’s English and Modern Languages Department has signed a student exchange agreement with the University of Chichester in southeastern England. The agreement allows TRU students to pay local rates for fees and accommodation while studying in England—and all credits accumulated at Chichester count toward your degree here!

Toni Jackson was the first TRU student to attend the University of Chichester. Toni studied in the Department of English during her semester exchange. TRU’s Study Abroad program offers a grant to cover a portion of each student’s travel expenses. |

So far so good here, I've been working hard with all my uni work, but I've been partying just as hard and touring everywhere possible. With Easter Break coming up, I'll be heading to a couple of my friends' towns (Tunbridge Wells and Woking), then off to London, Bath and up to Glasgow, Scotland to finish off the two-week break. The uni aspect is going well: it was hard learning the British slang at first, but now I have the hang of it (as they have 10 ways of saying the same thing).
This trip has been something else, and is definitely the best experience of my life so far, full of both good and bad experiences—but more good than bad. The hardest part of it all is dealing with living away from home and friends. However, by coming to the UK, I've had the chance to get to know some of the most amazing people in my life. Not only have I made some legendry friends here in Britain, but I've also made friends with people from various parts of the world. Many came from different parts of Europe, but also from Alaska, Texas, Eastern Canada, Miami, Korea and Thailand (just to name a few).
If I were to give one piece of advice to anyone considering an exchange it would be, "Go for it!! You'd be stupid not to, and you'll regret not going..."
