| Bodhi Jones spent his early years with his mother and sister on Salt spring Island, located between mainland British Columbia and Vancouver Island. He affectionately refers to it as a “hippie paradise” and says spending his childhood there was a magical experience. When he was ten his mom moved the family from Salt spring to Vancouver in search of greater opportunities...during this time Bodhi felt overwhelmed by the big city and became very isolated. He spent a lot of time home alone and it was at this time that his love of music was born.
Bodhi’s brand of urban folk and alternative pop has been compared to the likes of David Gray, Ben Harper, and Damien Rice. He's recorded 5 EP’s and two full length albums over the past 5 years, selling over 10 000 copies while performing on the streets of downtown Vancouver. He recently wrote, recorded, and produced his self-titled full-length album in April of 2009.
