Timely Advice Linking Campus and Career

Career TALCC events are program specific panel discussions that enable students to ask career focused questions with industry professionals in a specific profession. These discussions provide students with beneficial knowledge about who is being hired and why and how they can become more competitive in the job market.

Students are encouraged to partner with the TRU Career Mentoring program and organize a Career TALCC specific to their program and/or field of interest. Students decide the career focus, location, date and time, and the Career Mentoring team will supply a number of different industry professionals. Together, the Career Mentoring team and the organizing student will market the event to other students studying the same program. These hour long discussions provide beneficial advice to students' education and prospective careers and allow students to network with professionals in their program.

To organize a Career TALCC, please email careermentoring@tru.ca
