Program Information
Thompson Rivers University is a comprehensive institution, offering programs in a wide variety of areas. We are proud to provide a quality education to the Kamloops and area community. Students come from all parts of British Columbia as well as from across Canada to complete their post-secondary education at TRU. In addition students from many different parts of the world are in attendance, allowing for a multicultural learning environment.
Currently 55% of our student body is from outside the Kamloops area and that figure is growing as our reputation for excellence in education continues to increase.
Programs at TRU run from 24-week programs up to fully accredited, four-year academic degrees.
TRU began offering a Masters in Business Administration in the Fall of 2006. Two additional Masters programs in Science and Education were added in 2007, and more are in the developmental stages. For further information on these programs click on the links.

TRU also offers a number of Business Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas for students already possessing an Undergraduate Bachelor. Areas of study: Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Managemet, International Buiness, Marketing and New Venture Creation.
The Journalism 'Post-Bac' Diplomas focuses on students who want to complete a concentrated professional one-year program.
Also for Fall, 2011, TRU will begin offering Canada's newest Law Degree.
In Fall, 2012 will be a new Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Tourism.
