Information for High School Students
Be informed about TRU. Most High Schools within B.C. are visited by a representative from TRU, who provides information about the programs we offer. Make sure you take the time to listen to what is being said and read the informational Handouts. Do further investigation on your own. Be Informed about the program you are interested in taking. This is your life and you need to make wise decisions and learn to take responsibility for your own future.
Schools which are situated within the Kamloops area, are also paid a visit every year by an Academic Advisor in the Winter semester. Advisors will meet individually with Grade 12 students who have applied to TRU for the upcoming school year. If you are a student from the Kamloops area, please check with your High School Counselling office to see when the Academic Advisors will be at your school.

Advisors assist in course planning, answering questions about programs at TRU, application process, timelines for Student Loans, etc. It is recommended that every new High School student to TRU make contact with an Academic Advisor prior to enrolling in their Fall and Winter courses.
