Information -
Before Commencing Web Registration

Summer, 2011

NOTE: The web registration process contains a number of rules which will control the courses in which you can enrol. If the courses you select do not meet one of the rules, you will be advised of the nature of the problem which you then need to correct to complete the web registration process. Please see the 'HELP' options available on the various forms you will be using for more information.

Web Registration is available to students as follows:

  • Use myTRU - Tuesday, March 1 through until Sunday, May 1, 2011 - between the hours of 9:15 am and 11:30 pm. You may begin to enrol for courses, or add or drop courses on your specified date (see below) or on any day right up to midnight, Sunday, May 1, 2011. After May 1st, please contact the Registrar's Office to make changes to your schedule.
  • Registration priority as follows:
    • Tuesday, March 1 - Year 3 and 4 continuing
    • Wednesday, March 2 - Year 2 continuing
    • Thursday, March 3 - Year 1 continuing
    • Friday, March 4 - University Preparation, New or Returning Students

  • Web Registration is not available for any University Preparation students or International Education students.  University Preparation students enrol in-person in OM 1155 and International Students enrol in OM1412.  For TRU students in all other programs (Career or Trades) enrollment is completed by the Registrar's staff.
  • Note:  To enrol in 300 or 400 level academic courses you must have approval from the appropriate Degree Program Advisor, who will record your approval into the Student Records system.  This approval does not guarantee that there will be seats in that course at the time you access registration.
  • Your registration priority access is controlled by the number of credits you have earned as of December 31, 2010.  The web registration system will only allow you to enrol on the dates noted above, or anytime thereafter, just like in-person registration.
  • For each of Session One and Two, you can enrol in a maximum of 6 credits of instruction per session.
  • Access to myTRU registration is prevented if you owe TRU any past fees.  Please contact the Campus Cashier.
  • Once you have enrolled, your fees may be paid by Visa, MasterCard or American Express using the “Make Payment” function on myTRUin April, 2011.  Alternatively you can pay in person, utilizing our various payment methods at the Campus Cashier.  The balance of fees owed must be paid by 4:00 pm, Friday, April 29, 2011.
  • NOTE:   The total for tuition and fees for a typical 3 credit course is approximately $475.  For more information click on Fees.

The web registration process is a direct link to your academic record at TRU, be careful. Once you hit the 'Submit' button, you will be immediately updating your academic record with those course additions or deletions you have selected.

Please review the Timetabling and Registration Tutorials, Online Web Tutorialand TRU Online Schedule of Coursescarefully before you start the web registration process.

After you have completed your registration, make a copy of your schedule to ensure the accuracy of your selection.  Before classes begin, it is recommended that you again check your schedule, in case there have been any changes to the class times, days of the week, room numbers or instructors, etc.

NOTE: You are responsible for any registration or other updating activity and any fees incurred when your Student Number and Password are used on myTRU. Please keep this information secure.

Tampering with another student's Academic Record is a serious offence which may be subject to academic discipline. Periodic checks of the TRU online system are done by Registrar's Office staff.
