Choose and Register for Courses (6 Steps)

Students who are not attending Summer Session, meet or email an Academic Advisor or Program Advisor before June to plan courses for Fall and Winter semesters.

AT WHAT LEVEL OF ESAL CAN I CHOOSE MY FIRST ACADEMIC CREDIT COURSE?

   1.  You may choose an Academic course at Level 4 ESAL, or
2.  If you have provided TRU with test results indicating that you do not need to
study ESAL (ie:  IELTS)

You must submit an official high school transcript (English translation) showing graduation before you can plan Academic courses.

Please Note:

  • Academic courses require excellent listening skills because the instructors speak quickly.
  • Many Academic courses require strong writing and reading skills so it is important to be successful in the ESAL Program
  • The grade you receive in an academic course will always be counted in your cumulative grade point average (CGPA) - Your grade will count toward graduation or if you plan to transfer to another institution.
