Invitations

The Advancement office is coordinating the collection of invitees as we receive the necessary contact information from departments - name, address, phone, email, department affiliation, company name, title, etc. If you have contact information for someone you would like added to the guest list, please forward it to your department representative listed here, or directly to our database administrator, Sylvie Veilleux.

Photos

If you would like to submit photos for our website or future publications, please send scanned images to advertising@tru.ca, and state '40th Anniversary photos' in the subject line. Along with the photo, please give the date it was taken if you know it, list the people in the photo, and give a short descriptive caption.

Publications

The Advancement office is compiling a newsletter similar in format to The Convocate for circulation community-wide before the event. This publication will contain a schedule of anniversary activities on Sept 8-11, and highlights of TRU over the past 40 years. Following the anniversary celebrations, a commemorative Bridges magazine will be published by the Alumni Association in spring 2010; a call for articles and photos will be issued by the Alumni Association in the coming months.

Other Memorabilia

During the anniversary celebrations, there will be displays of Cariboo College, UCC, and TRU items that retirees and current faculty and staff would like to contribute. As we are expecting a lot of interest in memorabilia, we are asking that the memorabilia be held until the beginning of September until we find a suitable secure location to display it.

T-Shirts and Souvenirs

The Bookstore is preparing to supply t-shirts for the 40th Anniversary - please contact the Bookstore committee rep, Glenn Read.

Website and Social Media

Matthew Tarzwell and Bart Cummins in the Advancement office are coordinating the 40th anniversary website and facebook, respectively. If your department would like a 40th anniversary presence on your pages, please coordinate this with Matthew.
